Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has suggested that a
merger between the opposition parties, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and
Labour Party, LP, might not be suitable.
Sani made the suggestion on Thursday in a post on X.
The former lawmaker likened the planned merger between PDP
and LP to fixing a Ferrari engine into a Peugeot car.
He wrote, “Merging PDP with the young, agile and restless
Labor supporters will be like fixing a Ferrari engine into a peugeot.”
DAILY POST recalls that there have been talks about a merger
between the leading opposition parties, to challenge the ruling All
Progressives Congress, APC, in 2027.
