Six persons in Dutsinma town, Dutsinma Local Government Area
of Katsina State have been kidnapped by bandits.
A source told DAILY POST that some of the victims are
relatives of Umar Tafa, a gubernatorial aspirant.
The source explained that the victims were wedding guests,
were kidnapped very close to the house of a popular politician that contested
the governorship in All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last primaries.
According to the source, the woman whose children were
mostly kidnapped is the sister of the politician (Tata), who explained that the
way the attackers went straight to the house and kidnapped the women, was really
questionable.
He added that the terrorists initially kidnapped nine people
at Unguwar Kudu quarters of the town but later released three.
The source said, “They abandoned an elderly woman who could
not trek, with a small boy who was continuously crying.”
He added that there was a time the bandits came to Dutsinma
for four consecutive days and kidnapped people, saying that the situation has
become worse and we are really disturbed.
