Gumi Turning To Mouthpiece Of Bandits Shameful – IPOB

The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has described claims
by Sheikh Abubakar Gumi, that the group and its security outfit, Eastern
Security Network, ESN, were killing Northerners as ridiculous.
The group insisted that there was no iota of truth in the
claim.
The group stated that neither IPOB nor ESN was a terrorist
organization or Killers as claimed by the cleric.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Media and
Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB.
He stated that it was shameful that an Islamic cleric could
suddenly become a mouthpiece for bandits and terrorists.
He also queried what Gumi had in common with bandits and
terrorists to always advocate for and negotiating with them but never advanced
the cause of victims of terror.
